Celebrate You Card Using Washi Tape

Hello,

I wanted to share a card with you where I used washi tape and the celebrate you thinlit dies. I sent this card to my sister in law as she just passed her driving test and it was her birthday. Lots to celebrate! And many Congratulations to her!

I bought washi tape a long time ago but I haven’t really used any and since I have wedding expenses coming up at the end of the next three months I have to be good with money! No spontaneous or cheeky craft purchases for me 😦 So in this period of time you will see me using a lot of the stash I bought a while ago mixed in with some Sale-a-Bration items which is actually not so bad. Also if you have not heard of Sale-a-Bration yet then please check out a post I made about it here!

celebrate you thinlit dies by stampin upI love washi tape. It’s so pretty but im also not so good at getting it used and you kind of need to – I have seen washi tape go off! Yes, it becomes all sticky and you can’t use it. So better use it while you can!

I decided to cover a piece of card with washi tape – in no particular order – to make it look like designer series paper and it looks great! You can do as I have done here and just use it on a card front or you can use it for scrapbooking or you can die cut from it – which I have done for a Valentines project!

Personally I like the washi tape has been bent around the card and not cut as it gives it some nice dimension. If you wanted the die cuts to stand more out you can die cut another piece in black and layer it behind – making the black peek at the side like a shadow. It will make it stand out for sure.

I will be posting my Valentines project next week. I think it’s the first year ever I have been so organised! Have you thought about Valentines Day yet? Are you doing anything special? I would love to hear from you.

Thanks,
Christina

Adorable Hanging Garden Cards

Hello,

These adorable cards using Hanging Garden stamp set from Stampin’ Up! are really easy and quick to make. They can be used for many occasions – just pick one that fits you!

hanging garden card by stampin up using marina mist, berry burst and lemon lime twist

It feels like Christmas was ages ago even though it wasn’t. My sleep pattern hasn’t quite adjusted back into work-mode and my mind is everywhere else! I’m sure I can blame my phone for that even though I try to spend as little time using it because I just find myself in zombie-mode scrolling down endless Facebook posts! That’s what I like about crafting it gathers my thoughts and I focus on one thing at a time- with no scrolling!
Monday evening is my craft night. Fiancé cooks dinner and all I have to do is pop down from the attic to eat and then I go back! It’s amazing! I know not everybody is as lucky and has many other things to do around the house but if you plan a project in advance you can easily make it happen in an hour. The hanging basket with succulents is adorable and I haven’t really gotten over the succulent craze a year ago where we had succulents everywhere.

This card is easy and quick to do. It’s so quick I made 5 cards in one hour! – not all with wonky sentiments! Haha 🙂
Get all the card cut first, then get the inks out, colour and assemble – DONE!

Simple And Quick Handmade Gift Bag

Hello,

Simple and quick gift bag using the gift bag punch board

I hope you are well. I would like to show you a simple and quick gift bag I made using the Gift Bag Punch Board and the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. The gift bag takes about 10 minutes to make and the instructions that comes with the punch board is simple to follow. All supplies used are listed at the bottom.

I rarely use every sheet of paper from a pack of designer series paper so that’s why I decided to get the Gift Bag Punch Board to help using it all up. I had a plan I wanted to use leftover paper for scrapbooking but I have got more than enough left for that as well!
And this punch board is just great to have in your stash. Continue reading

Stampin Up 2018 Calendar Project

Hello,

How are you? Did you guess this weeks project from yesterday’s Facebook post? I posted a close up picture as clue to what this weeks project may be! Like my Facebook Page to see sneak peak pictures of future projects!

This weeks project has been making a 2018 art journaling calendar! I have tried getting into art journaling but it has been difficult for me as it for me doesnt have a specific purpose. I don’t know if anyone else feels the same way but I like making things dedicated a purpose – and by combining a calendar and art journaling it gives it a purpose and I think I can just squeeze in 30 minutes every month to do next months picture.

You can print the months out from Calendar. The calendar holder I made by using two hinged rings (ID: 3cm) and thick Whisper White card with the following dimensions:

What you need to know about Sale-a-bration 2018!

12-01-17_shareable1_sab_pre-earn_eng

Hello,

I hope you are having a great start to the new year. For me personally it’s going to be a special year; I’m getting married (yay!), My brother is turning 40 (hooray!), my grandmother is turning 90! (WOOOT!?! when did time go so fast?) and I’m turning 30 (yay-ish yay. and many of my friends are turning 30 as well. YAY!). Do you have a lot of special events or anniversaries coming up too?
And not to forget Stamping’ Up! is celebrating 30 years this year too! You can expect lots of good sales and exceptional products. Please sign up to my blog to stay touch for more news about this.

Enough about me. Let’s get what this post is really about; the amazing Sale-a-bration from Stampin’ Up! This years Sale-a-bration is slightly different. It is still going to run from 3rd January until 31st of March. This year the reward system has been slightly changed as the Sale-a-bration items this year are exceptionally awesome. I will upload the catalogue for Sale-a-bration and the 2018 spring catalogue tomorrow! please let me know if you would like a physical catalogue here.

This years reward system is different in that there are better rewards when you spend £90. As always you earn free Sale-a-bration rewards when spending over £45. Lets say you spend £90 then you can pick 2x £45 reward items or 1x £90 reward item from the Sale-a-bration Catalogue – instead of only 2x £45 reward items. The value of the reward items adds up to what you have spent for.

This year there is a huge variety of items to pick from e.g. cute Panda stamp set to designer series paper to word DIES. Yes, there are dies this year 😀

On that note the word dies are going to continue over in the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue (launches June 2018), so why not get them now for free?! There is also a coordinating stamp set in the Sale-a-bration catalogue and they coordinate fantastically. The coordinating stamp set is not going to be carried over in the new Annual Catalogue – so get it while you can. There could be another coordinating stamp set for the dies in the new Annual Catalogue – making these dies even more versatile! These dies are THE must have from this years Sale-a-bration catalogue but to be completely honest there are so many great items that it is difficult to pick just one!

Just like last year there will be another Sale-a-bration catalogue coming in February! Both Sale-a-bration catalogues will run until 31st March.

If you haven’t got a demonstrator then I would love you to pick me and shop through me by using my shop and host code (get free product this way!).
Please sign up to my blog to receive emails about my latest projects, news, sales and new products. You don’t want to miss out!

Many thanks
