SAB thank you card

Only 3 days left of Stamping’ Up!’s Sale a bration period so I thought I would show a card I made by using one of the items from the SAB catalogue.

I love the big thank you stamp. It is very elegant and very versatile. I love the colour combination, makes me think of spring. I was inspired by this card by Bonnie I found on Pinterest.

This is what Stamping’ Up! products I used to make this card:

I used the dimensionals to pop up the smoky slate from the base and making sure I didn’t get any lumps on the front from the twine as it is a bit bulky. I also used dimensionals for the flower on the front.
I wish I had adjusted the twine a bit before taking the photo!
Oh well, we learn as we go. 🙂
Card is from the 27th March 2017.

Where’s my cake?!? birthday card

Yes, Where is the cake?!? Chill out, it’s on it’s way.. by hot air balloon. 🙂

I couldn’t resist making this card out of the Lift me up stamp set. The sentiment is from the Tasty trucks stamp set (page 12) and is only available by spending £45 on Stampin’ Up! products and you can get it for free! This will last until end of March 2017.

I used following items for this card:

It seems like a lot of stuff, but you could do all the stamping in one colour and it would still look good. I had a piece of scrap from the Carried away DSP as banner. It doesn’t have to be. It could be Smoky slate or scrap from Cupcakes and carousels DSP. This is why I love Stampin’ Up! products; it is so easy to match.
I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp with to make sure cupcake was stamped perfectly. It works absolutely wonders. I don’t think I can live without this gadget. I also used scissors to cut out the balloon and used stampin dimensionals to make it pop. By tilting the white cardstock it makes it looks like the balloon is in motion I like that.
I added a bit of baker’s twine because it is so easy to work with. I am rubbish at tying bows. I can’t do it like everyone else does it. I do it just like my sister taught me it when I was like 5. I still remember it: “You make one doggy ear with one string. Do the same with the other string and tie them together in a knot. Ta dah!” I bet the person who invented the wheel had same feeling inside as me in that exact moment – and from that day I could go rollerskating without bothering my parents.
Card is from the 15th February 2017.

Lift me up card

I used the lift me up stamp set and FREE designer series paper (DSP) from Sale a bration 2017 catalogue  by Stampin’ Up!

I can see myself making many more cards from this stamp set as it has some good sentiments. I will definitely be making kids and men’s birthday cards.

This card however is for a 91 year old friend who  became ill over Christmas. His body is giving up and he has been put in to a carehome. His mind is still sharp and I have made this card which I will give to him this coming weekend to lift his spirits.

I used the following cardstock:

  • Whisper white 12 x 4.5 inch – folded in half
  • Smoky slate 5.5 x 4 inch
  • DSP (page 7 in SAB catalogue) 5.25 x 3.75 inch
  • Banner of DSP 0.75 x 3.5 inch
I also used:

Card is from 8th February 2017.
